  • It seems that the scandals just keep on coming. First, Americans are abandoned to die in a terrorist attack in Benghazi and the American people are lied to about the attack by the President and members of his cabinet. All of the facts are still unknown and the cover up continues. Then we learn tha...

What do you believe in?

  • A friend of mine misunderstood something I said and asked me the following question:

"What are your beliefs that YOU would vote for Obozo?"

    What follows is my answer.

Oh hell no!  I wouldn’t vote for Obozo if someone paid me!

What do I want to see?  Lets start with entitlements.  First do away with many of them because they are drowning us in debt we can never repay.  Second, welfare, put time limits on how long one can draw unemployment without seriously looking for work to stop people from milking the system.  Food stamps, Medicare, medicade, SSI and social security; Force people to PROVE they are citizens of the US to get the assistance and make it fair for everyone who is in need, not just people of color and Mexican surnames.

Border security.  Give the power to enforce border laws back to the states.  Allow for those states to use militia, of in our case maybe the Texas rangers or Texas national guard to sit on that border with tanks and Comanche helicopters to insure that the illegals don’t get in.  Let Arizona enforce their laws as they see fit.  If California wants to let every Tom, Dick, and Harry cross their borders, then by God let them pay to take care of them and let illegals know that if they come into a state that is enforcing their border laws then they have a huge chance at getting sent back, unless they are US citizens when they get there.  Deal with the cartel violence that is bleeding over into our country and give the border patrol the power to enforce the border laws instead of just standing there as target practice.

Trade.  Get rid of NAFTA!  Tell these countries who charge the US out the ass to send our goods to their country and expect the US to give them a free pass when we send goods to their country that if they are going to charge import taxes, then the US is going to charge the same import tax to them.

Tax reform:  Shut down loopholes so everyone pays their fair share of taxes.  Make taxes easier to understand.  Maybe even go for a flat tax.  Put the US back on the gold standard, get rid of the federal reserve and Fiat money.

Healthcare reform.  First Tort reform.  Stop all these stupid lawsuits that cause malpractice insurance to be so damn high.  If someone is dumb enough to put a cup of hot coffee between their legs and get their crotch burned, they cant sue because the coffee was hot… duh.  Open up the ability for insurance companies to compete for business across state lines.  Competition makes it all affordable.  Same with healthcare itself… if its cheaper to get your surgery in Arkansas then go there.  As for abortion, I don’t think we should outlaw it, but I do believe it should be seriously regulated.  No more abortions after the first trimester.  I mean really, you can find out if you are pregnant after the first day of a missed period, sometimes before that.  You should be able to make the decision on whether or not you are going to have the child within the first 3 months.  After that too bad.

Smaller limited government.  Give the power back to the states, period.  The job of the federal government is to support the states and keep us all safe from foreign invasion, not to get in the way of the states and make things harder.  Sure keep a standing army, but stop being the worlds policemen.  Support our friends, including and especially Israel.  Let aggressive countries know that if you mess with our friends, you mess with us and we will support our friends, but also say to our allies “Hey guys, we aren’t going to foot the whole bill nor are we going to send massive amounts of troops.  We all have to share in keeping the world safe from crazies like the Iranians.”  Kick the UN out of our country!  They hate us and want to control us, at the same time we are giving them a building in NYC free of charge.  They are useless anyway, so if they want to go around telling countries what to do, they can do it somewhere else.

Lastly, Energy.  Open up our off shore resources for drilling.  Open up ANWAR for the same.  Let us use our own resources instead of having to pay out the nose for foreign oil.  Encourage innovation in energy, engine design, solar, geothermal and other resources.  Tell China and Brazil to go find oil off their own coast and leave our oil reserves alone because WE are going to tap them!

Those are the main beliefs I have.  There are others but if I could find someone who TRULY supported these things I would be such a happy camper.  Someone who would stand up to the lobbyists, the environmentalists, the idiots who want to starve out good farmland because of some barely visible fish that happens to live there, someone who is for US not for the people who line their pockets with the most cash.  I see Romney getting behind a few of these things but not enough to make me really think he is going to do anything different than those before him.  You asked.  LOL
