The following was sent to Mr. Cantor May 22, 2011. As you can tell, we're still trying to be nice. Remember this was during the middle of one of those epic, and the first for the newly Republican-run House of Representatives. Tried to convey the following: Talk is fine. But talk is also chea...
  •   A bad thing to talk about for Memorial Day.   This cozy little story started about tax day if we are remembering correctly. The Tsarnaev fellas made a really really bad decision and quite a few of us got hurt, even killed.   Nearly a month goes flying by. The press, and dare i ...
  • May 3,1999 - Moore, Oklahoma Jake and I had just recently moved into Evergreen Apartments directly across the street from the Moore High School.  It was small, but comfortable for our immediate needs. We had been in business meetings all day and I was exhausted.  I had just laid down to ...

I remember one of my last attempts to reason with the progressive liberal friends I grew up with. Before I made a conscious decision to extricate myself from the sordid swamp of facebook babble, I was designated as an Islamaphobe/bigot for protesting a mosque at Ground Zero by Cathy V. who described...

Second to None: An Evolution on our Right to Bear Arms I signed the waiver. My name in ink meant no turning back. I walked into foreign territory with my goggles and protective ear gear and, amid the loud blasts and shells flying at my feet, I was ready to get my hands on a trigger. Firing a gun f...

Amnesty for $465

  • Violating the Constitution and the rule of law.

While many Conservatives, Tea Party members and Independents have asked for a secure border while enforcing immigration law. Obama decided on his own to issue an executive order that violates a constitutionally passed immigration law in 1986. Why does it violate? While the federal government does have control of immigration the president has no authority to alter a law passed by congress. It was perfect timing of course for this, it’s election year and Obama knows Republicans wouldn’t do much about this. This should make people upset, not just because of this executive order but does this mean any president in the future can gut a law they don’t like?
