“One man with courage is a majority.” ~ Thomas Jefferson   Once upon a time I lived in the San Fernando Valley of California. One day in the middle of the afternoon I heard the dog next door barking and smelled smoke. All I remember is running through a burning house filled w...

“If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in five years there’d be a shortage of sand!”~ Milton Friedman There are simply no words to describe the stark contrast between our lives twenty years ago with what we are all experiencing today. For one thing...
  • It seems that the scandals just keep on coming. First, Americans are abandoned to die in a terrorist attack in Benghazi and the American people are lied to about the attack by the President and members of his cabinet. All of the facts are still unknown and the cover up continues. Then we learn tha...
  • I spent this past weekend in Syracuse with family I haven’t seen in forty years, sat in the same church in the same pews I once sat next to my Grandparents in and visited their graves with my cousins and “Uncle Bill from the Hill”. Sunday was a perfectly sunny day, sandwiched in be...

  • Transparency & the Rule of Law will be the Touchstones of this Presidency.~ Barack Obama, January 2009 How many of us pulled the lever for Obama five years ago hoping for a kinder, gentler, more open and inclusive America? How many of us bought into the notion that Obamacare = Compassion?...

Why Obama might NOT call for martial law

  • Obama has shown himself incredibly thin skinned, very lazy and very self-indulgent. Were he to impose martial law on a country that had expressed EXTREME disapproval of him there would be no media accolades. There would be no messianic status. There would be no fawning.  there would be no going from place to place, stiffing the vendors, knowing they'd happily comply.

    the alternative?

No threat of assassination? no having to go to boring meetings.  no having to listen to anybody but sycophants.

    Most importantly:

A 35 million dollar mansion, bought and paid for by said sycophant, in Hawaii.

Not one dent into the millions that OBama has 'earned' through false autobiographies and will 'earn' through lovefest speaking engagements in the future.

Martial law could be bypassed if the petulant one turns out to be what he always has been, a petulant empty chair who wants his wife's ample derriere to become more so, while he evades her hypocritical whining on golf courses where no one dares to attempt to best him.

Jon McKeone Martial law could still be in our future but more likely because of his crippling defeat in November leading the true believers to go insane when their false messiah is given his due.

Jeannie Ash Jon, our one saving grace is that there is little evidence that any of his czars have remotely the organizational and military skills as the Muslim Brotherhood.

Jeannie Ash But yes, either way, thanks to the race baiting by the chameleon in the White House, we are almost certain to have riots. I've been instructed to buy buckshot for my shotgun (just couldn't decide on a handgun style) . Of course I live in liberal Bay ARea...  more

Jeannie Ash Steve, given the interview I saw BEFORE the last election, with that young man (since NOWHERE to be found) saying how he knew OBama before (and THAT is what I realize is really surprising. He may have been the ONLY person I've seen who said they knew him ...  more

Jon McKeone The best that can be hoped for is that the most thuggish of his supporters rise up and are mowed down with extreme prejudice to send a message to any would-be usurpers from this point forward.

Jeannie Ash ACtually Steve, while I agree with you that he has ONLY interest in urban warriors (as you saw, the catering to the Chicago gangs while oppressing the peaceable is brazenly transparent), I DO note that there has been a growing resentment among the blacks ...  more

Jon McKeone Jeannie, that is precisely why they have no interest in MLK's dream ... because they have no character and would fall far short if that was the measure of one's worth.
