We will not get a second chance. If we lose in November, we will have locked ourselves onto an irreversible trajectory straight to Hell! There are some who present very convincing arguments that it is already too late…that the hour of our Serfdom is already upon us. I choose not to believe that…
What do we believe? That really is the question of the hour, because the answer could very well mean the life or death of our Republic. I volunteered recently to serve on the campaign team for a wonderful man who is running for a position in local government. There were about a dozen of us, mostly if not all Republicans, who took turns introducing ourselves at the last meeting. I was the only one who included Tea Party affiliation as part of my credentials…proudly, I might add.
The best way to describe the response to my Tea Party invocation (which I studied the faces in search of) would be Poker Face…a dozen Poker Faces looking back at me. If I had to make a prediction about our chances in November based on that one single solitary clue, I would say flat out…We are dead meat!
Those who have framed the present narrative (Hint- Not Conservative Voices!), have cleverly sold the lie that we will lose the moderates and independent voters we so desperately need if we dare to dance with “the radical”, “the extreme”, “the granny killing” Tea Party! WOW, what a steaming pile of cock-a-poo-poo that is!! America has never been more desperately ready for courage and TRUTH from her politicians!!
I wrote the song The Dance about two very different people who trusted their guts, conquered their fears and connected on life’s dance floor…resulting in the ultimate magical tango! What I witnessed at the campaign meeting was the exact opposite. I observed people who have been conquered by fear, who have been falsely lulled into a dance with the Devil instead. How do you suppose that will end? We will surely find out in November won’t we…
We don’t dance with the one who brought us because it’s the smart thing to do. We dance with the one who brought us because it is the rightthing to do! That is the only path worth taking…Just ask Scott Walker!
