Military.com (see link below) reports that the "Stolen Valor Act", a bill designed to make it a crime to lie about recieving military accolades, was overturned by the Supreme Court. The ruling drew the ire of the VFW and other miliatry organizations and vets.
Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote the decision and claimed that the Act was too broad and could be used to justify the crackdown on any false statements.
I don't know about you but I think there needs to be a punishment for liars who use fake military experience for material gain. Its an assault on the brave men and women who protect this country everyday.
