We get a second chance to replace a progressive senator. Yes Kirsten Gilibrandt is up for re-election in 2012. It is time to show where New Yorkers really stand. A good start will be showing them who we send to Washington. As we gain information on congressional, and state wide races we can post our alternatives. When there is a primary runoff we must also be sure and make the right choices. Please post any and all candidates no matter it be for a primary, or general election. Together we can be the most informed voters in the state, and the country. less

Although I don't think you live here your input will be valuable. It's a shame though. LOL I know you would be quite at home living here and paying the wonderfully high taxes and fees we have that help drive our bloated and corrupt government. Only California can hold a candle to NY.
Chris "Conservative before it was cool" Magrum: Hey all. Given the age of the group the name was a bit out of date so I upgraded it to look forward once again. Looking forward to 2012. What does it mean for NY state, and our roll in national politics going forward?

Chris "Conservative before it was cool" Magrum: This is big news folks. Murphy (D) is a freshman congressman that was very popular. This is probably the most watched race in NY. We are in the final run and gaining ground.
Chris "Conservative before it was cool" Magrum: This is the full senatorial debate between Chuck Schumer, and Jay Townsend. I think Mr. Townsend knocked it out of the park. Before ANYONE in NYS votes, this is a must see.
Chris "Conservative before it was cool" Magrum
You didn't hear a thing about it in the media. Nobody wants to admit that there is an inteligent viable choice over the lifetime establishment of Mr. Schumer.

The libs want it both ways. Again on the news Carl Paladino was the subject. If you read my previous post you will know that he actually had the nerve to come out and say he wasn't in favor of gay marraige. Everyone was horrified. He since came out and said he does not discriminate against gays, and believes in equal rights for gays. Just not marraige. Well now Mr. Dicker has uncovered that within Mr. Paladinos vast realestate holdings he rents to a couple gay bars, and a planned parenthood clinic. For this Fred Dicker calls Paladino a hypocrite. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the fact that he rents to these people bolster his claim that even though he doesn't agree with their lifestyle, he doesn't discriminate? Doesn't that tool Fred Dicker know that if Mr. Paladino were to not be "hypacritical" and not rent to them on the basis of his beliefs Mr. Paladino could in fact be charged with a crime and jailed? Hey Fred. Wise up! Your an idiot pandering to idiots. less

You got it Chris, they're going to attack him no matter what he does. He should be praised for this! And I give him high marks for saying he is against gay marriage... and for saying the gay pride parades are disgusting. Because they are! I AGREE WITH HIM! He's a good man.

It's insane! They bash him for discrimination, then THEY find evidence that he doesn't, and they bash him for that. What the heck do they want?

The news is saying this is going to hurt his chances of election. Although I don't think it will help them I have to wonder what he said that should sour his conservative voter base. NOTHING! Mr. Paladino doesn't speak PC. He bluntly echoed what the state, and national opinion is. The majority of people ARE opposed to gay marraige, and the majority of people ARE opposed to their children seeing two men in speedo's grinding on each other in public. The majority of people ARE opposed to their children learning about homosexuality in school. Seems to me conservatives would be rallying to support him. Sadly even conservatives have fallen for the myth that you can think what you believe, but don't dare say it because it might offend somebody. less

I admire Paladino for speaking out. I think it will be to his advantage.

Good for him. PC is a main reason we're in the hole we're in now. Less PC. More truth.

In Catholicism marraige is not just a joining of a man and woman. It is also one of the sacraments. A cornerstone and core belief that it is one of only seven gifts bestowed by God and described as the union of a man and woman. It can not be changed, or deviated from. To do so would be the same as changing the meaning of the sacrament of Eucharist, or Penance. Simply put a gift from God can't be exchanged just because someone doesn't think it fits right. less

Chris "Conservative before it was cool" Magrum: Here's our choice and the only way to boot the career politician Schumer out on his butt. This guy medles in everything from what we eat to where we live just to get face time on TV. He originates more useless legislation than any other senator. Time for him to go!

I strongly support Mr. Paladino's platform, but this even turned me off. It doesn't speak well for temperment at all. He better do some fast damage controle. This alone may have handed Cuomo the election. It won't be long until this is a campaign ad. It's running non stop on the network, and national news. The conservative party has now endorsed Carl Palidino to form a united front between the republican, and conservative party in the governors race. We need all losing republican candidates to do the same instead of massaging their ego and preventing true conservatives from getting elected. Hats off to Mr. Lazio. You are a patriot.

A real stand-up guy Lazio. Notice he doesn't have that "I'm entitled to the office" attitude that all the lib republicans have. Amazing how the more conservative you are the more un-entitled you feel to elected political office.
