This nation is as spiritually troubled as it is economically. The last thing we need to do, in my opinion, is trade the (at least) Muslim sympathist (Yes, I just made up the word I needed) for another guy with a different cult to follow.
And, since I am in California that's easy for me to say, because my vote for the Republican doesn't mean much. CA will go to Obama (unless the Popular vote nonsense kicks in, but that's another story).

"A third party vote is a selfish vote that only helps Obama and if he wins because of it does harm to our country." -- Exactly right. A vote for a third party candidate hands over at least a half vote to Obozo.

Jimmy, the president isn't a spiritual leader, he's a political leader. I could easily vote for Romney if the other choice was Obama!
Are you saying if the nominee is Romney, you'll vote for Obama?

Jonathan CousarI'm really curious - among those of us who want a real conservative, why there is almost no support for Michelle Bachmann. Don't people think she's a conservative? Don't people think she's a conservative? Just two votes for her right now? So far she hasn't flubbed a debate, she hasn't had crazy moments on video and she's governed as a real conservative! But she has NO support even among the most hardcore conservatives. Why is that?

And same for Rick Santorum. He's done great at the debates, and yet right now he has 0 votes in this poll. No one has been more a consistent and solid conservative than he.

As a Christian I will vote for Romney if we are stuck with him as a candidate. I'm voting for a president not a religious leader. I know of nothing of this so-called cult that would be adverse to the operation of our country. But then, like JZ, I too am in CA.
Rich Helmold
It appears, like the third party voters, JZ would give (half vote?) to Obama, if Romney is the candidate.

Rich, I would consider it more carefully if CA were to be in question.

You're walking down a dark street at night, you hear foot steps behind you, you look over you shoulder. Who would you rather see? A Rev. Wright "Christian" or a Mormon?
Jimmy Z
In that case walking down the street? The Mormon of course. But look, as a Christian I cannot embrace Mormonism. We'd be trading one lie for another, and giving Mormonism a great big promotion as well.

Romney's are sincere and far better, even if the religion is not Christian. As for promoting it, by that logic, if Obama wins again you'd be supporting & promoting Black Liberation Theology. Far worse than Mormonism.

I've spent a lot of time considering this. I have to stick with God on this one. It's too large of an issue for me.

Jonathan, are your "qualifications" for the presidency more stringent than our own Constitution's? As i read the Constitution, the only qualifications are that a person has to be a natural-born citizen, and attain to the age of 35.
Are you saying if the nominee is Romney, you'll vote for Obama?
