Jimmy Z As a Christian, I cannot vote for or support Mitt Romney. This nation is as spiritually troubled as it is economically. The last thing we need to do, in my opinion, is trade the (at least) Muslim sympathist (Yes, I just made up the word I needed) for anot...  more

Jimmy Z "A third party vote is a selfish vote that only helps Obama and if he wins because of it does harm to our country." -- Exactly right. A vote for a third party candidate hands over at least a half vote to Obozo.

Jonathan Cousar Jimmy, the president isn't a spiritual leader, he's a political leader. I could easily vote for Romney if the other choice was Obama!
Are you saying if the nominee is Romney, you'll vote for Obama?

Jonathan Cousar I'm really curious - among those of us who want a real conservative, why there is almost no support for Michelle Bachmann. Don't people think she's a conservative? Just two votes for her right now? So far she hasn't flubbed a debate, she hasn't had cra...  more

Jonathan Cousar And same for Rick Santorum. He's done great at the debates, and yet right now he has 0 votes in this poll. No one has been more a consistent and solid conservative than he.

Rich Helmold As a Christian I will vote for Romney if we are stuck with him as a candidate. I'm voting for a president not a religious leader. I know of nothing of this so-called cult that would be adverse to the operation of our country. But then, like JZ, I too am in CA.

Rich Helmold It appears, like the third party voters, JZ would give (half vote?) to Obama, if Romney is the candidate.

Jimmy Z Rich, I would consider it more carefully if CA were to be in question.

Rich Helmold You're walking down a dark street at night, you hear foot steps behind you, you look over you shoulder. Who would you rather see? A Rev. Wright "Christian" or a Mormon?

Jimmy Z In that case walking down the street? The Mormon of course. But look, as a Christian I cannot embrace Mormonism. We'd be trading one lie for another, and giving Mormonism a great big promotion as well.

Rich Helmold You're not embracing Mormonism your defeating Obama. Obama's religious beliefs are the lie. Romney's are sincere and far better, even if the religion is not Christian. As for promoting it, by that logic, if Obama wins again you'd be supporting & promotin...  more

Rich Helmold I wonder how prominent this is of Romney's religion: "Mormonism is viewed as more a guarantee of a candidate's past probity than a political liability." http...  more

Jimmy Z I've spent a lot of time considering this. I have to stick with God on this one. It's too large of an issue for me.

Rich Helmold Well between Black Liberation Theology and what Obama is doing to a nation blessed by God and a Mormon, I think He'd lean toward the Mormon. Maybe that is presumptuous of me but I see nothing to justify keeping Obama in office. IMO, keeping him in power i...  more

Jonathan Cousar Looks like Herman Cain's getting out of the race. While I didn't think he was the best qualified person to be president, I do like him and sorry to see it end like this... if indeed it is ending.

Cameron Sprow Jonathan, are your "qualifications" for the presidency more stringent than our own Constitution's? As i read the Constitution, the only qualifications are that a person has to be a natural-born citizen, and attain to the age of 35.
